Elementary General Music

It is the goal of our music education to nurture a love and enthusiasm for music and to teach music literacy.

In music class, students experience a variety of children's songs, games, and rhymes of various styles and cultures as well as music of famous composers. Through singing, playing classroom instruments, listening, moving and dancing, dramatizing, and creating, students learn about musical elements such as rhythm, melody, and form. Musical experiences enhance learning in other subject areas as well as refine gross and fine motor skills.
