Hamburg Area Middle School (HAMS) is an excellent educational institution with a dedicated, concerned teaching staff and quality educational programs. HAMS is also home to over 630 students in grades 6, 7, and 8. Students follow a six-day cycle for classes and can participate in athletics, band, orchestra, choral groups, yearbook, student council, and other activities. All students are able to select exploratories.
The Hamburg Area Middle School also has a high degree of installed technology. The building has three computers labs, a technology education lab, and a technological library where students use the machines in learning new applications, for process writing, for all curricula, for Internet use, and for research. We are pleased to announce that six mobile laptop carts are now available. The laptops are capable of being transported between classrooms and are equipped with the latest wireless technology. We have also installed Promethean Boards (interactive white boards) and wireless Internet access in all of our classrooms for the 2008-09 school year.
