Mr. Laughlin Receives Innovation Grant

Congratulations to Terence Laughlin, science teacher at the high school, for winning the K-12 Innovation Grant, sponsored by The Society for Analytical Chemists of Pittsburgh (SACP) and The Spectroscopy Society of Pittsburgh (SSP).

This new grant program was created with the intent to assist public schools in developing and supporting a unique science engagement activity, program, or outreach.  His project involves having students design and develop portable indoor and outdoor air quality monitoring stations.  These stations would be placed at various point sources around the district to monitor for methane and other trace gases.
