The Tilden PTO STEAM Fair will be held on the snow date of Thursday, January 29, 2026.
This event is open to all Tilden students and their families!
You did not need to sign up to submit a project to join the fun!
There will be hands-on activities for the whole family:
⛳ Mrs. Reading’s mini-golf course
🧪 Science experiments with the Reading Science Center
🎨 Spin art & exploration with ScienceExplorers
🕵️♂️ A scavenger hunt that’s full of surprises!
🔗 We still need volunteers for set up and clean up if you can help!

Hamburg Area School District will be operating under a Virtual Learning Day schedule on Tuesday, January 27th. Please look for a message from your child's building principal with specific instructions regarding the schedule and expectations for the day.
Hamburg Area School District is operating on a Virtual Learning Day schedule on Tuesday, January 27, 2026. The Tilden PTO STEAM Fair will be held on the snow date of Thursday, 1/29/26 from 5-8 PM at Tilden.
Tilden students should be logged on for homeroom starting at 8:45 AM. It is Cycle Day 4.
Hamburg Area School District is operating on a Delayed Virtual schedule on Monday, January 19, 2026.

The Hamburg Tilden PTO STEAM Fair is back and sign-ups are open for all K–5 students! Got a fun science or invention project? Submit it and show off your creativity! 🎨🔬

All student participants get a free hot dog meal 🌭 (with extras available for purchase thanks to Backwoods Brothers), a participation prize, and the chance to win amazing raffle prizes:
🎟 Raffle prizes include passes to Hawk Mountain, Reading Museum Planetarium, Reading Science Center, North Museum, Crayola Factory, Crystal Cave, and Lake Tobias Wildlife Park—plus a science basket!

🎄⭐ December Students of the Month Making the Season Bright at Tilden! ⭐🎄
It was a holly, jolly celebration as our December Students of the Month enjoyed a special holiday-themed lunch with the principal and staff! 🍽️🎅 The room was filled with holiday music, happy dancing, and lots of laughter as we celebrated students who continue to shine through their leadership, kindness, and positive choices. 🎶💃🕺
These VIPs truly sleighed it this month, and we couldn’t be prouder! ❄️🎁

To make the day even sweeter, we had a special visit from Mrs. Fink’s cousin straight from the North Pole — Auntie Jingle Fink! 🧝♀️❄️ She popped into classrooms spreading holiday joy and delivering a special sweet surprise to our amazing teachers.
Smiles, laughter, and a little elf magic made today one to remember. Thanks for helping make Tilden such a fun place to be during the holidays! ❤️🎄

Even with November being a short month, our students showed up and showed out — 368 Attendance All-Stars and 132 students still holding PERFECT attendance! 🙌💪

We are truly grateful for our wonderful partnership with LaFaver Family Farm, who generously organized meal boxes for families right here in Hamburg! 🦃💙Their kindness and commitment to our community make a meaningful difference, and we are honored to have them as part of our Hamburg Area School District family.
During busy school moments like dismissal and parent–teacher conferences, some of our families were blessed with a special surprise. Each box was filled with Turkey filets from Koch's Turkey Farm, local potatoes from Geiger Family Farm, gravy, canned goods, bread, muffins, and cookies from Way-Har Farms, plus a gift card generously donated by D & S Portable Toilets. 🍞🥔🍪
When everyone comes together, we truly make a big difference for our families and neighbors. 💛
Community is the cornerstone of strong schools and successful students and we are proud to have such an amazing one here in Hamburg! 🦅
What a full circle moment! ✨ We were thrilled to welcome back Cadet Kevin McFarland III, now at West Point, to visit his former teachers and speak with a few classes. 🫡💛 Seeing him back in the very classrooms where his journey began is a powerful reminder of the amazing students our district nurtures—dream big, work hard, and anything is possible! 🦅🎓
