All About Me

Background

     I was born and raised in Berks County.  I have three wonderful children, Avery, Weston and Brooke.  I currently reside in Hamburg.  My hobbies include fishing, golfing, exercising, reading, watching movies and traveling.  Education has always been a top priority in my life and I strive to instill that enthusiasm for learning within children.  My motto is to live each day to the fullest, learn from the past and prepare yourself for success in the future.

Professional

     I graduated from Fleetwood Area High School.  I earned two degrees from Kutztown Unversity, first degree in Marketing and the second in Elementary Education.  I completed my Masters of Education from Cabrini College in June of 2012.  My prior work experience before education consisted of golf club professional and sales representative and sales manager for a steel company.  During the summer I work at Saucon Valley Country Club as a caddie.

     My teaching experience started at Longswamp Elementary where I student taught Kindergarten for 7 weeks and then student taught 5th grade at Strausstown Elementary.  After graduating, I was hired as a long term substitute for half a year at South Mountain Middle School.  My first year at Hamburg I taught Kindergarten at Perry.  Then I taught second grade for 11 years at Tilden.  This is my fourth year teaching first grade at Tilden Elementary Center.
