Ms. Wrona
Hello! My name is Amanda Wrona, and I am so excited to get to know you this school year! This year will be my fifth year on Tilden Elementary's Third Grade team! Previously, I have taught as a Kindergarten and as a PreK-1st Grade Special Education teacher, while also having experience in various classroom settings such as Autism Support, Life Skills, and other elementary grade levels. I am PUMPED to share this fun year of learning with you and your child. I began as a pediatric physician Major at Arcadia University, but life had a different plan in store for me and I transferred to Kutztown University where I graduated with certifications in Special Education PreK-8th Grade and Elementary Education PreK-4th Grade. I earned my master's degree in Mass Customized Learning from Wilson College.
It is important to note that I am a firm advocate of hands-on and minds-on learning. Rather than posing as the authority, I believe that my job is to facilitate and encourage my students to take the innovative journey of becoming curious and, in return, gain knowledge. I cannot wait to see your children explore their passions this year in our classroom.
When I'm not teaching, you will often see me with a cup of Dunkin' or Starbucks in hand, as I genuinely do run on caffeine and sweet tea. I also love all things Disney, singing and playing instruments, baking yummy treats, crafting with my Cricut machine, reading, and enjoying nature. (Fun Fact: I used to be the Cub Scout Program Director at Hawk Mountain Scout Reservation in Schuylkill Haven, and it is there where I fell in love with teaching!) I also LOVE to hike and travel! My favorite destinations so far have been Brisbane, Australia, and Shanghai, China. I cannot wait to share my traveling experiences with my students and share with them all of the opportunities this vast world has to offer.
