Hello Tilden Elementary!

Hello! My name is Mrs. Stoner and I am the art teacher for Tilden Elementary Center. I have been teaching art for many years and love everyday I get the oportunity to do so. I believe art is a important part of a students academic needs. Art is important to young children. It gives them a way to let out their feelings and ideas. Children can learn a lot through art. As children draw, paint, and make collages, they are learning about their world. Through art children get the opportunity to develop mentally, socially, and emotionally. Art can also allow a child's ability to analyze and problem-solve imporove. My goal as the art teacher at Tilden is to give students the chance to develop confidence, increase their empathy, and discover the world from different perspectives.
