Summer Band Student Opportunities:

Do you find it difficult to motivate yourself to practice over the summer?

How would you like to keep playing your instrument over the summer with other students and musicians from all over Berks County?

Join other students/musicians just like yourself in the Berks Summer Band Institute, a tuition-free summer band program for students of all ages.

Who: BSBI is open to all band students and musicians in Berks County who wish to continue playing their instrument over the summer months.

What: BSBI is a tuition-free summer band program with four bands at different levels:

1. First-year band student, for most students going into 5th grade

2. Second- year band student

3. Middle school band student for students entering grades 7 & 8

4. High School / adult / community band, entering grade 9 and up

When: BSBI will meet at Muhlenberg High School for nine weeks every Wednesday evening, beginning June 15 and ending with a concert August 10, 2016. The schedule of band rehearsals is:

     1st year Band, 7:00PM – 7:50 PM in the Muhlenberg HS Choral Room

     2nd year Band, 7:00PM – 7:50 PM in the Muhlenberg HS Band Room

     Middle School Band, 8:00PM - 9:00 PM in the Muhlenberg HS Choral Room

     HS/Adult Band, 8:00 – 9:00 PM in the Muhlenberg HS Band Room
