The Hamburg Area School District is seeking an experienced, strategic, and collaborative financial leader to serve as its next Chief Financial Officer. This executive-level position plays a critical role in ensuring the long-term financial health, operational effectiveness, and fiscal stewardship of the District while supporting our mission of educational excellence and our commitment to "Every Child, Without Exception."
Reporting directly to the Superintendent, the Chief Financial Officer provides leadership and oversight for all financial operations, including budgeting, accounting, payroll, purchasing, grants management, risk management, audits, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will serve as a key member of the District's administrative team, providing strategic financial guidance to the Superintendent, Board of School Directors, and district leadership.
We are seeking a candidate with demonstrated expertise in public-sector financial management, strong analytical and leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of Pennsylvania school finance, budgeting, auditing, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will possess a commitment to transparency, collaboration, innovation, and responsible stewardship of public resources.

Yesterday on Hawk Hill, under clear blue skies, Hamburg Area School District hosted the 2026 Hawk Olympics, a special education track and field event for students in Berks County. The Annie Sullivan Award, named after Helen Keller’s renowned teacher, is a prestigious honor in Pennsylvania bestowed upon educators and professionals who show exceptional commitment to students with disabilities. Special congratulations to Mrs. Lisa Eisenhower, Kitchen Manager at Hamburg Area High School, for being named Hamburg Area's official nominee for the 2025-2026 Lauretta Woodson Award. Mrs. Eisenhower has dedicated over 30 years to a career working in education. Her strong work ethic, loyalty, resourcefulness, and leadership skills have been instrumental in building and sustaining a high-functioning Food Services Department at HASD that supports students daily.
