On Wednesday, April 26, 2017, author Aaron Becker came to visit Perry Elementary to do a presentation about his Journey trilogy of books. The students got to hear him read his story and participate in an imagination activity. One special thing about these assemblies was the chance for some of our students to show Mr. Becker how we have been using his books to create our own songs using our singing voices. You can see pictures of these singing demonstrations on this page.
Mr. Becker shared how important it is for students to embrace all artistic outlets and to never lose their imaginations. We are so grateful to the Perry PTO, the Hamburg Area Music Association, and the Hamburg Area Education Foundation for funding Mr. Becker's visit to our school.
