Mrs. Rollman's Bio

Welcome to my Teacher Page,

My name is Kelly Rollman. I am originally from Staten Island, New York. I currently live in the Hamburg area with my husband and our two adorable young children. I graduated college with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a concentration in secondary education from Wilkes University, where I also received my Master’s degree in Classroom Technology. I have been teaching Language Arts here at Hamburg Area Middle School for the past 13 years and really enjoy what I do!

I hope that you are as enthused by the prospect of entering 7th grade as I am of having you here! Seventh grade is an exciting opportunity for you to grow and learn. I am looking forward to getting to know you!  

This year, as in the past, we will be focusing several important areas. First, we will be focusing on understanding the structure of short stories and novels. Next, we will be writing argumentatively, descriptively, and informatively. Finally, we will work on improving our grammatical skills. I am excited to be implementing the new Common Core standards, with your determination and focus we can reach your highest potential.
