- For medical concerns, contact your child's physician directly.
Procedure for Illness or Injury
If a student becomes ill or injured during the school day:
- Report to the health room with a signed pass from the teacher.
- The nurse will assess the student and provide necessary treatment.
- The student will either return to class or be sent home if needed.
- If the nurse is unavailable, students should go to the main office.
Health Screenings
Throughout the year, all students undergo mandatory health screenings:
- Height, Weight, and Vision: Conducted by the Department of Health.
- Body Mass Index (BMI): Required for all students in Pennsylvania. BMI screenings are performed early in the school year. Results will be sent to you and should be shared with your child's physician.
- Hearing Screenings: Conducted in grades Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 7th, and 11th.
