Mr. Terence Laughlin
Hello Hamburg Area Students!
Allow me to introduce myself. I began my journey teaching chemistry by earning a BS in Chemistry Education at West Chester University of Pennsylvania in 1994. What really enjoyed the most was working in the lab, conducting chemical research at the Center for Metal Hydrides Research Lab. I was studing the kinetic effects of the reaction between H2 with LaNi5. Right after graduation, I did not go right into teaching. I wanted to know how all this chemistry was used in the "real world". So I had the opportunity to work as a chemist/H&S officer with a small Environmental company out of Parker-Ford, PA. Eventually I decided to head to the classroom. I completed his MS in Classroom Technology from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, PA in 2003. I am a few classes shy of a obtaining a MS from LVC in STEM education. During the summer, I teach several science & technology camps at Penn State University at Berks on topics of Cybersecurity, Video Game Design, Forensics and GIS. It is good to be here at Hamburg HS!
