Welcome to my class!
I anticipate a great
year, and I hope you do
as well.
Hamburg Area High School has been my "professional home" since 1997. Prior to teaching at Hamburg, I spent four years at Reading Central Catholic High School (now Berks Catholic). I graduated from DeSales University with a B.S. in Mathematics and an M.Ed. in Mathematics Education. Since that time, I have attended several other colleges and universities in order to further my education.
Teaching math has always been what I've wanted to do since I was in 9th grade. My father was my ninth grade Algebra teacher, and he also taught my five younger siblings. Two of my sisters are teachers as well. I guess teaching runs in our family!
In addition to teaching, I have many other interests. My husband and I live in Mohrsville, and we have three sons, Michael, Zachary, and Matthew. Out in the country, I enjoy gardening and walking or jogging on country roads. Cooking is another of my hobbies, and my children are happy to help. The boys are thrilled that I like to bake, and they ask for a specially-decorated cake every year for their birthdays. We all spend much time together doing family activities like playing games both indoors & out.
