    We will be studying Economic, which is the study of how people and countries make decisions about how to use their scares resources in the most efficient way


     


    Heading format for all papers:

    1. All questions must be answered in sentence form (unless otherwise noted.  (Capital and period)


    1. A paragraph must have a minimum of five sentences.  (Topic, conclusion or summary, minimum of 3 supporting details)
    2. You may write on paper (not on books, folders, desks, etc…).  You will be responsible for replacement of any item you damage due to miss use.
    3. Grading:


      • Classwork 25% of grade

      • Test are 20% of grade

      • Current Events 15% of grade

      • Projects 10% of grade

      • Quizzes 20% of grade

      • Notebook 10% of grade


    1. Current Events must be from the Money section of the Newspaper: 


    4 points - date, page number, period, title of article: 


    12 points – Summary - who/what (1), F/O – circle (1 each), sentence (2 each)


    3 points – Reaction – like/don’t like circle (1), answer (1), and important (1)                


    1. Notebooks may be checked at the mid-term, end of the quarter, or spot-checked at any time.  These checks may be announced or unannounced.


      • At all times notebooks should contain the following:

        1. Economics classroom policies and procedures sheets

        2. Current Events

        3. Classwork

        4. Project Rubrics

        5. Quizzes

        6. Tests


    1. You are responsible for filing all returned work in correct order (date) of your three ring binder.
    2. Extra credit can be earned by correcting work and turning it in.  The extra credit points will be half of the value of the corrected work.
    3. Failure to comply with these rules could result in you receiving a failing grade and/or other disciplinary actions.
