Course Description

This course is designed for the student who is ready to take a college preparatory course in biology.  This course is designed to prepare the students to take the Keystone Exam in Biology and will include an introduction to biochemistry and an intensive study of cell biology, genetics, protein synthesis, and evolution.  As a honors course, material will be covered in greater depth than in other biology courses.  This course includes a double lab period once a cycle and is therefore worth 1.2 credits.  Students in this course should also be taking Environmental Science 1 and will take the Keystone Exam in Biology at the end of the year.
