HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
I. FOLDER -- A 3 prong folder with pockets would be best.
II. GRADING -- The students will be graded on a point system. The following
activities will be graded: tests, quizzes, worksheets, reports, projects and
any miscellaneous assignments. The health portion of your grade will account
for 30% of your overall Wellness Grade.
III. HOMEWORK -- Students will be given homework periodically. All major assignments will be given well in advance. These assignments will include, but are not limited to: worksheets, reports & current events.
IV. LATE ASSIGNMENTS -- Assignments are to be handed in on the due date at the beginning of class. Any assignment handed in after it is initially collected will be considered late. Assignments will only be accepted 1 cycle late for half credit. Anything handed in after this point will not be accepted. It is your responsibility if you miss class to stop in and check with your teacher for missed work or if you have questions regarding the assignment.
V. ARTICLE SUMMARY -- The topic currently being studied in class will determine the nature of the report. The following format is to be used:
A. Heading: Name & Class in right hand corner
Title should be centered
B. Summary of article: 3 paragraph summary
C. Personal Reaction: The 4th paragraph of the report is the student’s reaction/feeling about the article.
D. Include the link to the article at the bottom.
E. Must be typed.
